Privacy policy
DrawTogether has no accounts, no servers, no advertising and no analytics. Nothing about you or your child is sent to us or to anyone else. The rest of this page explains exactly what does happen, and what your rights are.
When people draw together, the devices in the session connect directly to each other over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth using Apple's local network features. Drawing strokes pass between those devices and nowhere else.
There is no server involved. We never see a drawing, never store one, and have no way to retrieve one. When a session ends, the drawing exists only on the devices that took part.
If you choose to save a drawing, the app asks permission to add it to your photo library. This permission lets the app write the picture to your device. It does not let the app read, browse or upload anything already in your library.
Saved drawings are yours. They stay on your device and in your own iCloud backups if you use them, under Apple's terms rather than ours. You can refuse this permission and still use every other part of the app.
To let devices find each other, each one shows a short name to the others nearby. If that name comes from your device name, it may include a real first name. You can change it in Settings, then General, then About, then Name.
Only devices in the same room, on the same local network, can see this. It is never sent over the internet.
DrawTogether is made for children and we treat it that way. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
This means we do not need, and do not ask for, verifiable parental consent, since there is nothing to consent to. We believe this satisfies the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act in the United States, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the equivalent rules elsewhere. Any link in the app that would leave it, including a link to this page, sits behind a parental gate.
If you are a parent and you think the app has done something we have not described here, please write to us. We will look at it properly.
Under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws elsewhere, you have rights to see, correct, delete and export the personal data a company holds about you.
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to show, correct, delete or export. If you would like us to confirm that in writing, ask and we will.
Questions about this policy, or about anything the app does, go to the person who made it.
Show email addressIf the app ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version reaches the App Store, and the date below will change. We will not quietly start collecting something and tell you afterwards.
